Stephen Loehr, MD

Stephen Loehr, MD

Interventional Radiologist, Medical Director

Dr. Stephen Loehr is a board certified interventional radiologist specializing in image guided minimally invasive procedures to treat a wide range of medical conditions. Dr. Loehr earned his medical degree at Bowman Gray School of Medicine and completed his residency at both Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University and Wake Forest School of Medicine.

He completed a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Alexandria Inova hospital. Dr. Loehr has over 25 years working in the academic, private group practice, and free-standing interventional radiology settings.

Dr. Loehr is also a clinical assistant professor at Yale University and helped establish clinical rotations for interventional radiology fellows at both Yale and Wake Forest Universities enabling them to train in a highly productive free-standing interventional radiology center.

Dr. Loehr is a noted specialist in performing arterial embolizations (UFE, HAE, PAE, GAE), venous embolizations,  and in assessing and treating peripheral vascular disease and venous disorders.

William H. Pechter, MD

William Pechter, MD

Vascular Interventional Radiologist

Dr. William Pechter is a Vascular Interventional Radiologist with expertise in performing minimally invasive image guided procedures in the outpatient setting.  He is passionate about medical education and providing non-surgical options to treat many conditions.

Dr. Pechter is a board certified physician in Interventional and Diagnostic Radiology with his training performed at Yale University. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor at Yale University educating residents who do clinical rotations at his outpatient center.

Besides educating future doctors, Dr. Pechter has given national lectures and seminars on vascular procedures including embolization (UFE, HAE, PAE, GAE), peripheral artery disease, and venous disease.

Dr. Peter Bream

Peter R. Bream, Jr., MD

Interventional Radiologist

Peter R. Bream, Jr., MD is a nationally recognized expert in educational and clinical Interventional Radiology. Dr. Bream attended the University of North Carolina Medical School and was Chief Resident at The University of Alabama at Birmingham before returning to UNC for his fellowship. He then moved to Vanderbilt University Medical center in Nashville, TN. During his 17-year tenure at Vanderbilt, he served as the Interventional Radiology Fellowship program director and helped create one of the first Integrated IR residencies in the country. He rose to the rank of Associate Professor of Radiology and Medicine. In 2018, Dr. Bream returned once again to his roots at UNC as a Professor of Radiology and served as the Program Director for the Diagnostic Radiology Residency program. In 2023, he left academia for private practice and joined the team at Vascular Tree.

Dr. Bream has authored over 25 peer reviewed academic articles and has lectured internationally on all subjects of Interventional Radiology. He is credited with the development of novel techniques for gastrostomy tube and suprapubic tube insertion. He is a volunteer for the American Board of Radiology, serving both as a core exam question writer and oral examiner. In 2017, for his contributions to the profession, he was inducted as a fellow in the Society of Interventional Radiology. He is excited about using his 25 years of experience to provide the ultimate care to his patients at Vascular Tree.
